This was one of our special courses in 2017:
Ever wondered how to build a house? ( or maybe just a shed even!) Join a group of women for all or part of this 2 week event – no previous experience needed! We will be making the structural Timber Frame for an energy efficient house that has been designed close to PassivHaus standard. The course is being led by 4 women timber framers: Astrid Arnold, Barbara Czoch, Iso Barnden and Maude Star. You can book the dates that suit you, and we recommend to book for at least 5 days. To get the most out of the course we recommend to book for the whole 10 days if you can. Camping is available at the venue. There are amazing places to hike, swim and paddle close by as we are on Dartmoor, so you can make a bit of a holiday of it, too. After the course is complete there will be 2 volunteering weeks open to everyone (men and women) who either have been on the course or have some previous experience. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions through this website.
